FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to common questions about at-home lab testing with SaludyVos in Mendoza.
How does home sample collection work in Mendoza?
+
Choose a test package and share your preferred dates. We coordinate with our lab partner to match your request. Once your date is confirmed, we'll notify you to proceed with payment. On the scheduled day, a licensed professional will visit your home to collect the sample safely.
Which areas are covered in Mendoza? Any extra fee for home collection?
+
We currently cover several areas across Ciudad de Mendoza, Godoy Cruz, Las Heras, Guaymallén, Luján de Cuyo, and Maipú, with more areas coming soon. Home sample collection is included in the package price within our core coverage area. For addresses outside this area, an additional home visit fee may apply.
Where are samples processed?
+
In certified partner labs that follow strict quality and safety standards.
How soon will I receive my reports? What language are they in?
+
Most reports are delivered by email within 72 hours. However, certain specialized tests may require additional processing time. Reports are issued in Spanish.
Do I need a doctor's order?
+
No medical order is required for the packages listed on our website.
I'm a tourist/digital nomad. Can I book tests with just my passport?
+
You can! A valid passport is enough to book a test; DNI is optional.
I'm in Mendoza for a few days and staying in a hotel or Airbnb. Can the sample be collected there?
+
We offer professional lab sample collection at hotel rooms and private Airbnbs to ensure your health needs are met without disrupting your travel itinerary.
To comply with medical privacy standards and hygiene protocols, we require a private space for the procedure. Therefore, we cannot perform collections in:
- Hostel dormitories
- Shared rooms
- Public lobby areas
If you are staying at a hotel, we also recommend informing the hotel staff in advance about the scheduled sample collection.
What happens if I need to reschedule my home sample collection?
+
Appointments can be rescheduled without additional charge if the request is made before 4 PM on the day prior to the scheduled appointment.
Requests received after this time may incur additional charges, including a new home visit fee.
If a home-visit team member has already been dispatched, rescheduling a new home visit will require an additional visit fee due to logistical coordination and operational costs.
As an alternative, you may also visit the laboratory directly for sample collection, in which case no additional cost applies.
What payment methods are accepted? Can I pay in cash?
+
You can pay securely using a credit card, or a debit card. At the moment, we do not accept cash.
Do you accept payments in USD using international cards?
+
Yes, we do! We'll provide detailed instructions to pay in USD once your booking is confirmed. You can use any major international card to complete the payment securely.
I have a promo code, how do I use it?
+
You can enter your promo code during the payment step.
Are tests covered by insurance?
+
Right now, payment is made directly to SaludyVos. If your plan allows reimbursements, you can submit your receipt; please check with your insurer first.
Can I get an invoice for insurance purposes?
+
Yes. We can issue an invoice or payment receipt that you may use when requesting reimbursement from your insurer. Coverage and reimbursement rules depend on your plan, so please confirm the requirements with your insurance provider first.
Do I need to fast, pause meds, or prepare in any special way?
+
It depends on the test. We'll send clear prep instructions with your confirmation.
How is my data protected?
+
We only collect what's needed to book your test and share it with the certified partner lab performing your test. We don't access or store your medical results; the lab sends them straight to you.
